Before waiting for a return call, check AutoRedial’s blocked numbers

Receiving a reply does not depend on your redial interval

If you agreed to wait for a call, also check whether the expected number is in your blocked list. Changing an AutoRedial session’s interval configures outgoing attempts; it does not establish that you are ready to receive an incoming call.

AutoRedial brings together a dialer, incoming calls, recent calls, contacts and blocked numbers. These features serve separate decisions. You need not start another redial session to check which contact you expect.

Start with the number they will actually use

Imagine someone confirms they will call from a work phone, while your contact entry contains their personal mobile. Before attributing a missing call to an app setting, distinguish the two numbers.

Review the agreed number, compare it with the contact and check your blocked list. A matching name does not prove it is the same line. If you do not know the outgoing number, retain that uncertainty rather than inventing it.

This example does not suggest unblocking every unknown caller or changing a restriction chosen for someone else. Review only the decision you need to make.

Three states to keep separate

  • You stopped a session: automatic outgoing attempts have stopped.
  • You blocked a number: you made a separate decision about that number.
  • You expect a return call: you still need to observe whether it arrives and which number is used.

None of those states alone proves what happened on the network. The app depends on the device, SIM, carrier and capabilities exposed by Android. Removing a block, if you choose to do so, does not guarantee a call will arrive.

If the call still does not appear

Review the facts you have: the agreed time, expected number and what recent calls or voicemail actually show. Distinguish a recorded call from a conversation you have not received. An absent entry is not a certain technical explanation.

For support, use AutoRedial’s documented diagnostics and describe the case without publishing private phone numbers. This guide does not claim a real device test or prescribe a menu sequence that may vary between versions.

Review current features and limits. AutoRedial is paid software for Android 10 or later and must be the default phone app. Its cycle runs locally without an account or internet, but calls require the relevant telephone service. Google Play provides current purchase, availability and compatibility information.
