They give you another number: prepare the second call without copying the old session

A new number deserves a new decision

If someone gives you another phone number during an enquiry, check that destination before preparing the second call. There is no need to carry over the interval, attempt limit or redial reason you chose for the first one out of habit. A normal call may be enough now.

AutoRedial combines a dialer, contacts, recent calls and redial sessions. This guide describes your decision between two enquiries, not an automatic transfer between numbers.

An example with two destinations

Fictional case: you call about an activity and are told enrolment enquiries go to another number. Before ending the conversation, you can confirm the number and what it is for. You do not need the other person’s personal details to remember that purpose.

In your note, separate “I was given another destination” from “I have spoken to that destination.” The first does not establish the second. If you have not called yet, keep it pending rather than presenting a referral as completed enrolment.

When preparing the next call:

  1. Review the complete number, including any relevant prefix.
  2. Decide which SIM to use on a compatible device.
  3. Choose a normal call if that is what you need.
  4. If you choose a redial session, review its wait, interval, maximum attempts and retry reasons for this destination.

We are not proposing a configuration-copy control absent from the documentation. The check is to reread what you intend to start.

Keep the call and its result distinct

The AutoRedial product facts document session history, attempts and outcomes, plus private notes. Use that context to distinguish the original enquiry from the next one. An old attempt does not prove you called the new number.

When Android reports a connection, retries stop and the call continues normally. A connection does not guarantee you reached the required department: listen and confirm the purpose before considering the enquiry complete. AutoRedial does not analyze voices to distinguish people from recordings or automatically hang up an active call.

Check the dialer you want to use

The paid Google Play app requires Android 10 or later and must be the default dialer. Its cycle runs locally without an account or Internet, but it does not guarantee a connection or answer.

Read the presentation and follow the official purchase link. Start the second call with a specific check: is this the number I was given, and have I chosen conditions for this enquiry rather than carrying them over from the previous one?
