Review the incoming alert, not the spacing of outgoing retries
A redial session’s interval controls the wait between attempts; it is not the ringtone volume for an incoming call. If you expected to hear the phone and did not, changing that interval answers a different question. First distinguish a call that arrived without an audible alert from a call you do not yet know arrived.
The AutoRedial product facts document incoming and outgoing calls as well as configurable redial sessions. The app requires Android 10 or later and must be the default dialler. That does not mean its intervals replace the device’s sound settings.
A missed call does not establish the cause by itself
In a fictional example, you check the phone and find a missed call from the person you expected. You know that record exists; you have not established whether the ringtone was quiet, the phone was vibrating or another condition applied. Starting another redial session is not required to investigate that uncertainty.
Google Phone help describes call ringtone and vibration controls. It documents another app, not the placement of AutoRedial buttons. Use it to distinguish functions and consult your manufacturer and version for the actual settings.
Three checks that do not require calling anyone
- Relevant volume: locate your device’s ringtone setting. Do not assume raising a video’s volume also changed the ringtone.
- Chosen mode: check whether you left the phone silent or vibrating, and decide what you want while waiting.
- Problem scope: distinguish an incoming alert from the other person’s voice volume after a call connects. They are different stages.
Pixel volume documentation distinguishes media, call and ring volume. Its labels and steps should not become universal instructions for every Android phone. You can review settings without making test calls to other people.
Keep redial settings for the session you actually want
Answer wait, interval, maximum attempts and busy, unanswered or disconnected conditions belong to the outgoing session. Do not change all of them to explain a ringtone you did not hear. If you later choose to start a session, review its conditions for that separate goal.
AutoRedial does not guarantee connection. This guide does not promise a volume setting resolves every reception problem or that the app bypasses system restrictions. If no call record appears, the arrived-without-sound example is not confirmed and you need a different diagnosis.
See the official Google Play listing for current purchase and compatibility details. While waiting, first review how you want your phone to alert you; increasing outgoing attempts is not the same as making an incoming call ring.
