How many calls did I make? Separate a session from a manual call

Identify each record before adding counts

AutoRedial documents session history with attempts and outcomes alongside ordinary call history. If the same attempt appeared in both histories, you should not count it twice. This guide does not verify whether your device shows that overlap. Check what your device actually shows and retain uncertainty when two records cannot be confidently related.

An example with one session and one manual call

Imagine making one ordinary call in the morning. Later you start a session to the same destination and its history records two attempts. If you establish that those two records are distinct calls and the morning call is another, the count is one manual call plus two attempts: three calls, not five by adding possible entries for those same attempts from the general call log again.

This is a suggested reading exercise, not a screenshot or a promise that the app automatically links the histories. If available records do not let you distinguish them, note that the total remains unverified. Nor should three attempts be treated as three conversations.

A short manual review

  1. Identify the session you need and review its displayed attempts.
  2. Consult call history and compare only information you can check, such as destination and time where available.
  3. Count records you have identified as the same attempt once; keep distinct manual calls separate.
  4. Before calling again, consider whether a reply has already arrived and whether another contact is still needed.

You do not need to share phone numbers or private notes to make this count. A connection does not establish that you spoke to a person: AutoRedial follows Android call state and does not analyse audio. For interpreting one session’s outcomes, read the attempts and outcomes guide.

Check the product’s scope

AutoRedial is a paid Android 10-or-later dialler and must be the default phone app. The retry cycle stops on connection, at the maximum, when it cannot continue or when the user stops it; it does not automatically hang up an active conversation. Review the official facts and Google Play listing for current features and availability.
