In AutoRedial, the answer wait limits how long an attempt waits without connecting; the interval is the pause before the next attempt. The maximum attempts limits how many attempts are made. Changing one does not change the other two in the same way.
Before preparing a redial session, write down which decision each setting represents. Do not predict the end of the whole session by multiplying a single number.
Three example decisions, not a universal recommendation
Imagine a non-urgent inquiry to a service whose public opening hours you have already checked. To explain the settings, we use invented values: a 30-second answer wait, a 60-second interval and a maximum of 3 attempts. These are neither recommended values for every recipient nor a session tested on a phone.
| Example setting | Question it answers | What it does not mean |
|---|---|---|
| Wait: 30 seconds | How long does an attempt wait without connecting? | That the entire session lasts 30 seconds |
| Interval: 60 seconds | What pause do I configure before the next attempt? | That each call waits 60 seconds for an answer |
| Maximum: 3 attempts | How many attempts do I permit as a limit? | That all three always happen or someone will answer |
Do not add these numbers to promise an exact finishing time. Call states and stopping conditions matter: a connection can end retries before the maximum, while an error can prevent continuation. This guide neither establishes nor times an exact total session duration.
Decide which non-connection you want to retry
The official setup guide separates retry conditions. Review busy, no answer and disconnection for your situation; do not enable every condition merely because it exists.
In our fictional case, a busy number might lead you to choose another limited attempt. If nobody answers, trying at another time might also be appropriate. The app does not know whether the recipient is available or which time suits you: that decision remains yours.
Before starting, check the number and selected SIM, and establish that you can make a normal call. AutoRedial requires Android 10 or later and the default phone-app role. Your carrier’s coverage and telephone service remain necessary.
Review why it stopped before repeating the session
When a call connects, retries stop and the call continues normally. If an announcement causes Android to report a connection, AutoRedial does not analyze audio to decide whether a person is speaking. It never automatically hangs up an active conversation.
If you reach the maximum, keep your inquiry pending and decide when or through which channel to try again. If an error appears, consult the history and configuration before starting an identical session. Stopping and restarting does not turn a failure into an answer.
The persistent notification lets you stop an active session. Confirm that the session has stopped when you decide not to continue. You do not need to use every attempt you previously allowed.
Compare documented settings, not promises of an answer
The Auto Redial listing from lithiumS advertises scheduled calls at a date and time, recurring on days or after a period. Choosing when a scheduled call starts is different from choosing the pause between attempts: do not transfer our 60-second interval into a start-time field. AutoRedial’s cited guide separately documents answer wait, interval and maximum attempts. This comparison does not establish that another product lacks unmentioned settings.
Samsung’s calling help explains making a call and ending it by pressing the end-call icon; it also warns that screens and steps may vary by device. Ending a call is another action, distinct from configuring a retry session. When comparing, answer three questions from each app’s documentation: when does it start, what pause precedes another attempt, and which control ends an active call? Sources checked on 23 October 2026; these products were not tested here and their interfaces are not attributed to AutoRedial.
Visit AutoRedial and its official Google Play link. It is a paid app; current price, countries and compatibility must be checked in the store. It does not guarantee connection and excludes emergency numbers from automatic redial. Your preparation should end with settings you understand and a limit you chose.
