Decide when to start before starting the session
If you are not ready to call, prepare the number and information you need and decide when to start the session. AutoRedial documents an answer wait for each attempt and an interval between calls; the documentation cited here does not establish a scheduled first-attempt time. Do not treat either setting as an appointment with the recipient.
Three checks for a pending call
Imagine you need a reference before calling a service whose opening hours you have checked. Before starting, confirm you have the information and intend to call now. Then review:
- Answer wait: how long an attempt waits without connecting.
- Interval: the pause before a retry when an enabled condition occurs.
- Maximum and conditions: how many attempts you allow and whether to retry a busy, unanswered or disconnected call.
These are separate decisions. Available values depend on your version; total duration also depends on call states. If your plans change, you can stop the session, including from its notification. You need not use every attempt.
When the call connects
The redial session stops when Android reports a connection. The conversation continues normally: AutoRedial does not automatically hang up or analyse audio to distinguish a recording from a person. Check the number and, on a compatible phone, the SIM before starting.
Check the fit for your phone
AutoRedial is a paid Android 10-or-later app that requires the default-dialler role. The cycle runs locally; the call needs telephone service and connection is not guaranteed. Emergency numbers are excluded from automatic redial.
