Once a call connects, AutoRedial ends that redial session. A later dropped conversation does not turn the previous session into permanent call monitoring. Before starting another cycle, decide whether one normal call is enough and inspect the status the app shows.
Separate two moments
Imagine this fictional sequence:
- You prepare a session to retry an unanswered call.
- A call connects and you can talk. Connection is a session-ending condition.
- Later, the conversation drops.
The third event happens after the second event’s result. Do not read a configurable “disconnection” condition as a promise to rebuild any future conversation automatically: the public facts describe conditions within a session and stopping on connection.
Decide what you need now
If you only need to finish a sentence, a normal call may suffice. If you do not know whether the other person can talk, wait or use an appropriate message. The app cannot decide for them or guarantee another call will connect.
Before dialing, check the destination and line if you use dual SIM. If a call is active, distinguish stopping retries from hanging up: AutoRedial never automatically hangs up an active call.
If you choose a new session
Deliberately set the answer wait, interval, maximum attempts and conditions you actually need. Read the previous configuration before copying it: circumstances may have changed, and the person may be trying to call you back.
Keep the stop control accessible during the cycle, including its notification. Check history and current status to distinguish the session that connected from the one you just started. This example does not establish a “resume conversation” button or continuous reconnection mechanism.
What connection does not guarantee
Android can report a call as connected when a recording answers. AutoRedial does not analyze audio to distinguish a person from a recording. That state ends the session without guaranteeing your issue was resolved.
AutoRedial is a paid dialer for Android 10 or later and requires the default phone role. Review the product facts and Google Play for current availability and compatibility. Emergency numbers are excluded from redialing.
